Urban posters with Berlin-style
In the 1980s, Gilles Lipovetsky observed the emergence of postmodern indifference due to an excess of stimuli, a theme resonating in today’s era of “serial” representation through platforms like Instagram and TikTok. I channel this chaotic urban landscape, employing urban décollage as a canvas. I create a symbolic hypertrophy that mirrors our collective unconscious, akin to the disorienting impressions experienced during sleepless nights. This work evokes a simultaneous sense of familiarity and discomfort, akin to deciphering the world’s influx of images without understanding their deeper meaning—a challenge central to contemporary existence.
